Information You Submit
Search terms
When a search box is supplied by an outside provider, text entered there goes to that provider for processing. The provider may return results under its own service. This site does not maintain an Accomack warrant database or keep search terms as an official case record.
Messages sent to the site
If you send a message through an available site channel, the information in it may be retained so a response can be made. It is not shared outside the operation unless law requires it or a service provider must handle it for us. Avoid sending sensitive court papers through an unverified channel.
Technical Visit Information
Like many websites, the service may receive technical details needed to deliver and measure a visit. These can include an IP address, browser and version, device and operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring site, and visit timestamps.
Cookies and traffic measurement
Small browser files may help measure which pages are used and whether the site works. You can block cookies in browser settings. Some functions or measurement may then behave differently. Analytics providers may receive aggregated visit data under their own practices.
How Visit Data Is Used
- To keep pages available and diagnose loading faults.
- To route an optional search request to its provider.
- To see which public-information pages are useful.
- To find technical errors and improve site performance.
- To support advertising that may appear with page content.
Search partners and advertising services have separate data policies.
No Accomack Warrant Database Is Stored Here
Accomack County Warrant Records does not host, assemble, or sell a collection of warrant records or personal case details. The official case search is Virginia OCIS; court files are held by the issuing clerk, and sheriff records are held by the Sheriff's Office. The county Most Wanted page is a public alert, not a complete repository.
Virginia Code § 2.2-3704 governs requests for public records held by state and local public bodies. A court or sheriff request should go to the office that holds that record.
Outside Search Providers
Search boxes may be run by an independent company. Information entered into one of those tools is handled under its privacy notice, retention schedule, and sharing rules. The site operator does not set those terms. Read the provider's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Courts and Other Sites
Pages may link to Accomack County, Virginia Courts, town departments, statutes, or other services. Following an outside link takes you to a separate operator. That operator's privacy rules apply to your visit and any details you share there.
Advertising services may use their own systems to measure activity across websites. Review those settings with the provider or your browser.
Who May Receive Information
Information may be processed by the services that help operate this site. Depending on the feature used, that may include:
- A search provider receiving a query submitted to its box.
- An analytics service measuring site use.
- An advertising network serving or measuring an ad.
- A government office when a valid legal demand requires disclosure.
The site does not sell an Accomack warrant file because it does not hold one.
Keeping Information Secure
Reasonable technical and operational measures are used to protect information handled by the site. No internet service can promise perfect security or rule out every incident. Take care when sending identifying details and use official court or county channels for case documents.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults. The operator does not knowingly seek personal information from a person under 18. If information from a minor is brought to our attention, steps may be taken to remove it from the site's control.
Juvenile court and law-enforcement records have separate legal protections. This site does not publish juvenile records.
Requests About Your Information
You may ask what visitor information the site holds and request correction or removal where it can be done. A search provider may control information submitted to its tool, so the provider's privacy terms govern requests about that search. A private site cannot change a government case record.
Virginia FOIA, Code § 2.2-3704, addresses access to public-body records. It is the route for an existing record from a public office, not a consumer-data request to this private site.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be revised as site features or service providers change. A new version will appear here with a revised effective date. Review it again before using a search feature if you want to know how the current service handles information.
